beginner program
The Beginner Rock Climbing Program is designed for individuals with little or no prior outdoor climbing experience. Its goal is to provide participants with a solid foundation of skills, allowing them to climb confidently with experienced partners, pass a climbing gym belayer’s test, and—most importantly—enjoy the experience to the fullest.​

Participants will learn the fundamentals of belaying and rock climbing in a safe, supportive environment on easy to moderate terrain. Instruction begins with a clear introduction to climbing equipment, including its design, proper use, and care. This is followed by detailed guidance on top-rope belay systems and essential safety procedures.​
​
Building on these fundamentals, the program focuses on balance, body positioning, and efficient movement. Participants learn to use natural hand and foot placements on moderate routes, gradually progressing to more challenging terrain. As skills develop, additional techniques and body positions are introduced, helping each climber build a well-rounded foundation in roped free climbing.
